The development of road infrastructure is entering a new phase. In preparation for the Road Fund evaluation mission<\/strong> scheduled from 4 to 17 May 2026<\/strong>, the Governor of the West Region<\/strong> will chair a decisive working session this Monday, 4 May, at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Field Mission Scheduled from 4 to 17 May<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As part of the monitoring of projects financed by the Road Fund<\/strong>, a field mission will be conducted in the West Region of Cameroon<\/strong> from 4 to 17 May 2026<\/strong>. The objective is to assess the level of execution of road and related projects implemented by municipal councils (project owners)<\/strong> and sectoral administrations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To prepare for this field deployment, the Governor of the West Region will preside over a working session on Monday, 4 May 2026, at exactly 10:00 a.m.<\/strong>, in the first\u2011floor conference room of the Governor\u2019s Services in Bafoussam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be attended by members of the Road Fund Management Committee<\/strong>, the relevant Regional Delegates<\/strong>, and the municipal executives<\/strong> involved in the projects under review.<\/p>\n

Sectoral Delegates and Mayors Called to Mobilize<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In addition to the strategic participation of the President of the Regional Council<\/strong>, the Senior Divisional Officer of the Mifi Division<\/strong>, and Members of Parliament for Mifi<\/strong>, particular attention is drawn to the Regional Delegates in charge of:<\/p>\n

  • Housing and Urban Development<\/li>\n
  • Transport<\/li>\n
  • Public Contracts<\/li>\n
  • Decentralization and Local Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Councils Concerned by the Mission<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    On the side of local authorities, the mayors of the following councils are concerned by this operation: Bafang, Bassamba, Bayangam, Bazou, Dschang, Fokou\u00e9, Foumban, Njimom, Nkong\u2011Zem, and P\u00e9t\u00e9\u2011Bandjoun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Why this mobilization? The aim is to ensure that the expectations of local populations are heard at the highest level<\/strong> and that each road project becomes a tangible driver of growth<\/strong> for local communities.
