Bafoussam on 7 May 2026 to assess the 2025 school year, prepare for the 2026 examinations and reward outstanding female pupils.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>A strategic education meeting in Bafoussam<\/h2>\n<p>The end-of-year sectoral conference for basic education was held in <strong>Bafoussam<\/strong> on <strong>7 May 2026<\/strong>.<br \/>The meeting was chaired by <strong>Adray Epent\u00e9 Tazeu<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Governor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>He represented the Governor of the West Region, <strong>Awa Fonka Augustine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Assessing past results and planning ahead<\/h2>\n<p>Under the technical coordination of <strong>L\u00e9opold Ymga<\/strong>, Regional Delegate for Basic Education, officials reviewed the 2025 examination session.<br \/>The aim was to draw lessons for the upcoming <strong>2026 examinations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants focused on improving organisation and preparation standards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Guidelines and candidate preparation<\/h2>\n<p>Officials were briefed on official instructions governing the conduct of exams.<br \/>Attention was also given to the psycho-pedagogical preparation of candidates ahead of certification assessments.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions highlighted the need for consistency and discipline.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Preparing the 2026\u20132027 school year<\/h2>\n<p>The conference also addressed early planning for the <strong>2026\u20132027 academic year<\/strong>.<br \/>Education stakeholders stressed the importance of long-term anticipation.<\/p>\n<p>This approach is intended to ensure smoother implementation of school activities.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>School sports and the FENASSCO games<\/h2>\n<p>Preparations for school sports competitions were also reviewed.<br \/>Athletes from the West Region will participate in the <strong>FENASSCO League B Games in Garoua<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Technical supervisors were urged to ensure disciplined and competitive participation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Scholarships awarded to top female students<\/h2>\n<p>A highlight of the event was the award of <strong>scholarships to the best female students<\/strong> from the <strong>2025 CEP and FSLC<\/strong> examinations.<br \/>The initiative is funded by the State through the Minister of Basic Education, <strong>Professor Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>State commitment to girls\u2019 education<\/h2>\n<p>The grants, worth up to <strong>200,000 CFA francs<\/strong>, are designed to promote girls\u2019 education.<br \/>They also encourage families to support academic excellence among female students.<\/p>\n<p>The programme reflects government efforts to reduce gender disparities in education.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Call for integrity ahead of the 2026 exams<\/h2>\n<p>In closing, the Governor\u2019s representative urged education stakeholders to uphold integrity and vigilance.<br \/>He called for full mobilisation to ensure a successful and credible 2026 examination session.<\/p>\n<p>Outstanding female students were congratulated for bringing pride to the
