The shared objective remains the building of a solid synergy between the tax administration and municipal executives, which is essential for smooth and concerted local development.”Far from slowing down the decentralization process, this reform provides local authorities with increased resources thanks to the technical expertise of its devolved network, thereby ensuring optimal transparency for the benefit of the population of the West Region,” the Head of the Regional Tax Center reassured the mayors.
A Clear Upward Trend in Financial Indicators
The drive to secure the budgets of Decentralized Local Authorities (CTDs) shows a reassuring financial trajectory for local managers.The figures presented during the session indicate a steady and rigorous increase in resource mobilization over the past fiscal years:
- 2024 Fiscal Year : 404 billion CFA francs collected (Achieved);
- 2025 Fiscal Year : 465 billion CFA francs collected (Achieved);
- 2026 Outlook: An ambitious target of 600 billion CFA francs is projected.
