The Secretary General of the Governor’s Office, Adrey Epente Tazeu took part in this official event as representative of the Governor of the West Region, Awa Fonka Augustine. The prefectural authority was represented by the First Deputy Prefect of Nde Division.
The official stand also included the presence of the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Célestine Ketcha Courtès, as well as the Mayor of the Bangangte Municipality, Éric Aimé Niat, along with administrative and municipal authorities, law enforcement forces, and local traditional leaders.
The ceremony was marked by the observance of a minute of silence in memory of the late illustrious figure, Mr. Marcel Niat Njifenji, former President of the Senate of Cameroon.
Following this, the presentation of awards scheduled in the competition’s protocol took place.
Mayor Niat presented the Chantal Biya Prize to meritorious athletes. The Secretary General of the West Governor’s Office on his part, officially presented the Yellow Jersey to the German rider, who ranked first in the general classification at the end of this stage.
The event concluded on this note of sporting distinction, in front of the people of Bangangte gathered for the occasion.
